Moment of Sunset comprised from portions of songs originally written for several theatrical plays, these works were first arranged by Prasidh for a stage orchestra limmited to fourteen instruments. Seeking to enlarge the composition, Mr. John Georgiadis, musical director and principal conductor of the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, has rearranged the works to allow performance by the symphony orchestra. This masterful treatment has allowed the various melodies of the individual pieces to be appreciated in a continuous thread of compositional ingenuity.

Completed in 1954, this composition was given its first performance by the National Symphony Orchestra of the Philippines one year after its completion. Performed at the Southeast Asian Music Conference in Manila, it is comprised of four short movements: Moon Over the Temple, In the Grand Palace, Siamese Lament, and In the Bangkok's China town.

ในวโรกาสที่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวภูมิพลอดุลยเดช ทรงเจริญพระชนมายุครบ 72 พรรษา ผู้ประพันธ์มีความปรารถนาที่จะประพันธ์เพลงเทิดพระเกียรติ จึงได้คัดทำนองเพลงไทยเดิม ชื่อ "เชิดใน" ซึ่งประพันธ์โดยบิดา คือ หลวงประดิษฐ์ไพเราะ (ศร ศิลปบรรเลง) มาเป็นโครงสร้างของบทประพันธ์ เพราะมีความเหมาะสมที่จะใช้บรรเลงในลักษณะเพลงโหมโรง (Overture)
เพลง "เชิดใน" ไม่ค่อยเป็นที่รู้จักแพร่หลายในหมู่นักดนตรีไทยเดิมเหมือนกับเพลง "เชิดนอก" ที่เล่นกันแพร่หลายและเป็นเพลงเอกในภาพยนตร์เรื่อง "โหมโรง" แต่ก็เป็นเพลงบรรเลงที่มีความเร็วและเหมาะสมกับการที่จะใช้เป็นเพลงโหมโรง อาจารย์ประสิทธิ์ ศิลปบรรเลง ได้ประพันธ์เป็น Piano Conductor Score เสร็จ แต่ไม่สามารถเรียบเรียงเสียงประสานสำหรับวงซิมโฟนีให้เสร็จได้ เพราะความเจ็บป่วยในช่วงสุดท้ายของชีวิต จึงได้มอบให้ Mr. John Georgiadis เป็นผู้เรียบเรียงเสียงประสานแทน เพราะเป็นผู้มีความคุ้นเคยกับบทประพันธ์อื่นๆ ของท่านมาก่อนแล้ว
"เชิดใน" ได้รับการประพันธ์ และเรียบเรียงเสียงประสานสำหรับวงซิมโฟนีขนาดใหญ่ เป็นบทเพลงที่มีความสง่างาม และจบด้วยท่วงทำนองอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของความเป็นเพลงไทยอย่างชัดเจน
"เชิดใน" ได้รับการบันทึกเสียงครั้งแรกพร้อมกับเพลงอื่นๆ ของ อาจารย์ประสิทธิ์ ศิลปบรรเลง ที่เมืองริก้า ประเทศลัตเวีย เมื่อเดือนมิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2547 บรรเลงโดยวงดนตรี The Latvian National Symphony Orchestra ใช้นักดนตรีรวมทั้งสิ้น 70 คน และ Mr. Terje Mikkelsen ชาวนอร์เวย์ เป็นวาทยกร
Cherd Nai : The Prelude of Siam

In this work the composer has re-composed the original theme of “Cherd Nai” created by his father Luang Praditpairoh (Sorn Silapabanleng) as a Western style Overture. The piano-conductor score and was completed when the composer was 87 and in poor health. Hence, the score and suggestions for arrangement were forwarded to Mr.John Georgiadis, conductor of the composer’s famed “Siang Tian with female chorus”, in the U.K. to enlarge and orchestrate the piece for performance by a medium-sized symphony orchestra.
“Cherd Nai: The Prelude of Siam” was first recorded in Riga, Latvia on June 2004, with the Norwegian conductor Terje Mikkelsen conducting the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. The “Cherd Nai” has been orchestrated in the grand symphonic orchestral style with distinctive melodies of traditional Thai themes in the opening and grand finale.
